Dr. Patrick Hatzenbuehler joined the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) as an Associate Research Fellow in the Development Strategy and Governance Division in August 2016 after earning a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics at Purdue University. He conducts research on Nigerian agricultural markets as part of the Nigeria Strategy Support Program (NSSP) team in the IFPRI office in Abuja, Nigeria. His primary research focus areas are food security in Nigeria, agricultural commodity trade and marketing, and macroeconomics and agriculture.
