Sulaiman F. Mansour, MBA
Sulaiman Mansour is a community Health and Nutrition Instructor based in the Macomb County office of MSU Extension District 11. He works with diverse audiences in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Washtenaw counties.
Of Lebanese descent and born in west Africa, Sulaiman speaks multiple languages, such as Arabic and some African dialects. He works primarily with refugee populations -- teaching and empowering them how to become entrepreneurs and independent, also how to eat healthy and adopt healthy habits, as well as acclimating them to the food system in the U.S. In his time at MSU Extension, Sulaiman has worked with over 20,000 Refugees.
Sulaiman is a member of the Refugee Health Task Force at Michigan State University Extension. He collaborates with the nutrition team to offer bundled to reach immigrant and refugee populations.
Sulaiman's work has been highlighted multiple times in the community, such as his work helping a Syrian refugee launch her business, and his partnerships to help resettled refugees. Sulaiman is also a trauma-informed Certified yoga teacher. Sulaiman is a ServSafe Certified .
