Sulaiman Mansour is a community Health and Nutrition Instructor with MSU Extension’s Health and Nutrition Institute based in the Macomb County office of  District 11. He works with diverse audiences in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb and Washtenaw counties. 

Of Lebanese descent and born in west Africa, Sulaiman speaks multiple languages, such as Arabic and some African dialects. He works primarily with refugee populations -- teaching and empowering them how to become entrepreneurs and independent, also how to eat healthy and adopt healthy habits, as well as acclimating them to the food system in the U.S. In his time at MSU Extension, Sulaiman has worked with over 22,000 Refugees. 

Sulaiman is a member of the Refugee Health Task Force at Michigan State University Extension. He has developed two bundles that include programs tailored to meet the needs of immigrant and refugee populations. He also serves as a member of MSU Extension 2024 Strategic Direction Work Team.

Sulaiman's work has been highlighted multiple times in the community, in publications such as Global Detroit, MSUE Spotlight, and Akaadia Newspaper.

Sulaiman has worked with agencies such as The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI), The Arab Community Center for Economic and Social Services (ACCESS), Jewish Family Services of Washtenaw (JFS), Samaritas, Arab American and Chaldean Council (ACC), Zaman International Hope for Humanity, Catholic Charities of Southeastern Michigan (CCSEM), Chaldean American Ladies Of Charitity (CALC), Freedom House, Hope Care and Beyond and HYPE Athletics.
