Raker-Roberta’s Young Plants

Presenting the 2026 Raker-Roberta’s Trial Gardens (RRTG26) - over 8 acres and 100,000 unique plants dedicated to the horticulture industry. RRTG26 is open to all plant lovers.

Every visitor will receive iced cold refreshments, a complimentary RRTG26 Trial Book, and access to the most comprehensive plant trial database

Garden Hours

Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Weekend visits by appointment. Trials are open from July 15 to August 28, 2026.

This year in our comparison row trials in the sun, we will have Osteospermum, Dianthus, Hot Pepper (NGB’s 2026 “Year of”), Sedum (NGB’s 2026 “Year of”), Gomphrena, Mixed Perennial Assortments, Begonia (Fibrous and Interspecific).
In the Shade, Impatiens wallerana (NGB’s 2026 “Year of”)
In our baskets, we are showing Lantana, Red, White & Blue Mixes, Triple-Stuck Combos.
Our Specialty Cut Flower trial will be comparing shade vs. non-shade Lisianthus production to evaluate differences in stem length, uniformity, and overall cut quality. This study aims to provide growers with clear guidance on light management for premium stems.
We are adding to our extensive overwintering perennial trials with Lupine, Monarda, Kniphofia, Gaillardia, and Liatris. These will be in the ground for three years and are in addition to our existing overwintering perennial trials

Events

Join us at The Connection on July 30st for a day filled with Music, Food, Friends and of course, Flowers! Industry experts will be on hand to talk about the latest and greatest offerings. Come early to beat the heat, bands start at 11am, lunch is served at noon. Be sure to make time to visit.
