    4-H provides predictable programming, helpful resources and a safe and nurturing environment for military kids who face frequent moves and experience the difficulties surrounding lengthy deployments.

  • 4-H Plants, Soils & Gardening

    4-H youth explore the broad scope of plant sciences through educational opportunities about crops, vegetables, horticulture and more. Participants learn about topics include weeds, crops, fruits, vegetables, gardening, horticulture, and agronomy.

  • Inclusive 4-H

    Blending different backgrounds together is a unique aspect of Michigan 4-H. Differences including people of diverse backgrounds, heritages, and physical and mental abilities are welcome, and encouraged, to join 4-H as a participant or volunteer.

  • Jump Into Foods & Fitness (JIFF)

    Jump Into Foods and Fitness (JIFF) is a research-based curriculum that features eight “Kangaroo Jumps” or sessions that help kids ages 8 to 11 (grades 3 to 5) learn the importance of nutrition, increased physical activity and food safety.

  • Outdoor Adventure Challenge

    This program uses the outdoors to lead youth in activities that teach how to plan, organize, and conduct their own activities outdoors. Participants learn canoeing, kayaking, backpacking, hiking, outdoor survival and safety skills and more.
