Tuition Options

Choose to go through the East Lansing campus certificate programs or connect with a community college partner at a different location in Michigan.

Tuition is based on the location you learn in, so attending classes in a location close to home at a community college could be a more affordable option.

Scholarships may also be available. Additionally, if you've earned a Michigan High School State FFA degree, you're eligible for 6 general education college credits from MSU!

Part of Michigan State University

In 1855, the Agricultural College of the State of Michigan, now known as Michigan State, was founded to provide a practical education to all citizens regardless of social class. It was the first institution of higher learning in the United States to teach scientific agriculture.

Additionally, IAT has been providing educational opportunities since 1894.

Today, these land-grant roots are not only part of our history, but also represent the future of agriculture, technology and workforce development.
