2023 Urban/Rural Conversation Exhibit Locations and Artists

The Armory in Owosso

Carrie Joers and Marti Lameti's artwork will be on display June 23-August 16, 2023, at the Owosso Armory, 215 N. Water St. in Owosso. The receptions for both artists will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at the Owosso Armory, with music provided by Zac Bru from Detroit Bureau of Sound.

All artists in the Rural/Urban Conversation exhibits will have work displayed at the Armory from August 17-September 20, 2023.

On September 9, from 3-8 p.m. during ArtWalk, the Armory will be hosting a "Reimagined Art Show" that will allow attendees to meet with all artists featured across the Rural/Urban Conversation exhibits.

Art 634 in Jackson

Joel Ellis and Timothy Orikri's artwork will be on featured June 14-July 16, 2023, at Art 634, 634 N. Mechanic St. in Jackson. The receptions for both artists will be held Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. at Art 634 in Jackson, with music provided by Kev E Kev.

Linda Beeman and Walter Bailey will have featured artwork on display at Art 634 from July 6-August 5, 2023.

Concerts at Art 634

July 8: From 6-9 p.m., Art 634 will host Musique Noire for a concert. Ticket prices are $20; more details to follow.

July 15: Art 623 will host Nat Spinz and Flames'n Dames for a concert. More details to follow.

MSU Extension Office at Focus Hope in Detroit

Walter Bailey and Linda Beeman's artwork will be on display May 16-July 6, 2023, at the MSU Extension Office at Focus Hope, 1360 Oakman Blvd in Detroit. The receptions for both artists will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, beginning at noon at Focus Hope in Detroit, with music provided by Brandon McCoy.
