2023 English Riding Horse Camp Day 3

Yeehaw time for day 3!!!!

Here's what our campers got up to on day three!

Horse Farm Map

This morning campers finished drawing their farm maps! They continued to add more barns, chickens, cows etc. As they continued to draw, they shared what they added and brainstormed more ideas to add onto their map!

Breeds and Collages

Campers were given magazines and cut out all the horses to create a collage then labeled the breeds of each horse!

Garden Kitchen: Fruit salsa and trail mix

This morning with the help of Carmen who assists with specialty camps showed each pepper group creating a fruit salsa which consists of strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and more. Some campers were so helpful with learning how to cut the fruit into bite sized pieces.  In the afternoon, they made trail mix to take it on the go! It had goldish, dried fruit, cheerios and chocolate chips!

Picture frame painting

Day one, campers got their photo taken with Sedona or Grizz after they were able to have some horse time. They were able to paint picture frames that they can take home on Friday!

Leg Protection

Pepper groups were given plastic leg forms and why you use it for the horses to protect their leg! We want to keep their legs from getting injured.
