Graduations

Congratulations to the following students who recently completed their respective degrees sponsored by the BHEARD Program.

Dissertations Defended

  • Md Nurul Amin successfully defended his Ph.D. at Washington State University
  • Shimul Das successfully completed his preliminary exam at Washington State University
  • Bettie Kawonga successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Kentucky
  • Edward Martey successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign
  • Eric Owusu Danquah successfully finished his comprehensive exam at Michigan State University
  • Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman passes his preliminary oral exam at Washington State University
  • Cheryl Williams successfully defended her dissertation in "Agricultural Communications and Education" at Texas Tech University

Other Student Presentations and Recognition

  • Pacsu Simwaka was awarded the President's Award for "Best Oral Presentation" a the Soil Science Society of South Africa (SSSSA)
  • Matias Culpa led a keynote presentation at FIOCRUZ on the health system of Mozambique
