PBGB Program Students traveled to Ithaca, MI to learn about corn breeding.


Graduate students in the Plant Breeding, Genetics and Biotechnology program had the opportunity to visit the commercial Corteva corn breeding program in Ithaca, MI, the Week of August 19, 2019.

Breeder Dr. Juan Rey and the technical staff at the station provided program overview, a tour of the research station and equipment, and walked students through the early generation selection nursery. The visit, coordinated by Dr. Addie Thompson, provided invaluable industry insights for students in our department.
