Ben is from a small town in Western New York and is interested in the intersection of business, the environment, and society. Prior to coming to MSU, Ben spent 5 years in West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Cameroon and a Peace Corps Response Volunteer in Mali. After Peace Corps, Ben was working on agriculture and economic development with ICCO Cooperation. With ICCO he was managing a public private partnership to expand the production and exportation of honey and beeswax for female cooperatives in Mali. With the skills and experience Ben is gaining at AFRE, he hopes to have an even larger impact on business and the environment.
