Prior to segueing into youth development Lizz had over 20 years in business management experience. Lizz earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Central Michigan University (Fire Up Chips!) in 2006. After graduation Lizz served as Adjunct Instructor, Tribal Librarian and Resource Manager for the Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College. She left her positions to serve as the Adult Recruitment and Education Specialist for Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan. Lizz relocated to Macomb County when she accepted her present position as 4-H Program Coordinator. In 2021 Lizz had three significant career successes. She was one of three MSUE staff selected statewide to participate in the Professional Apprentice Program. She was also accepted into the Higher Adult Lifelong Education Graduate program at Michigan State University. Finally, Lizz received the Ruth Jameyson award, one of Michigan State University’ most prestigious awards in 2021. During the 2022 Fall Extension Conference she was part of a statewide team to receive the Team Institute Award.
