James L. Tatum III is from the Detroit metropolitan area, and earned his Master of Public Administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. He is a lecturer at Eastern Michigan University, consultant, and an analyst in the City of Detroit’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Forecasting and Economic Analysis Division. In addition to his professional duties, he has authored scholarly works that have been published in the Harvard Journal on Legislation, Business & Bankruptcy Law Journal, The Urban Lawyer, Syracuse Law Review, Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal and Public Finance and Management.
