Biotechnology Engineer with a background in Molecular Diagnostics. I did my undergraduate studies at ITESM, Campus Guadalajara (2017), Mexico. I have worked arduously in the agricultural sector in the Laboratory of Conviviendo con la Naturaleza S.C. (Living with Nature); my role was in the coordination and execution of Biological Effectiveness Studies in the areas of (Insecticides, Acaricides, Herbicides, Fungicides, Bactericides, and Nematicides) according to NOM-032- FITO-1995. Besides, I have performed agricultural marketing projects, biological effectiveness studies of urban entomology, insecticide susceptibility studies, and others.

I am a 5th year Ph.D. student in Entomology at Michigan State University in the laboratory of Dr. David Mota-Sanchez, where we focused mainly on characterizing the inheritance and resistance mechanism of fall armyworm strains from Puerto Rico. On this island, a crucial part of seed breeding is carried out, impacting the entire food chain worldwide. In addition, I collaborated with the Arthropod Pesticide Resistance Database (https://www.pesticideresistance.org).

A little about me: I love eating and cooking and Mexican culture, and in my free time, I like to read, exercise, meditate, and look for science and emotional intelligence topics.
