Saleh is working on antimicrobial plastics which could be used in health care application, food and health care packaging.  He is targeting a range of synthetic thermoplastic materials for his research such as polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, and Polyethylene Terephthalate filled with antimicrobial additives.  Different industrially feasible methods of incorporating the antimicrobial additives will be investigated for different applications.
