Sharron (Ronnie) Miller is a Ph.D student in the Department of Entomology at Michigan State University in Dr. Rufus Isaacs' lab. She received her B.S. in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Nevada, Reno and A.S. at Truckee Meadows Community College. As a PhD student, she is studying native bee communities in natural, urban, and agricultural landscapes in Michigan.
This includes how pesticide exposure and host plant use vary across these landscapes, and opportunities for conservation and outreach. The goal of her graduate research is to study how humans affect bees in different environments and to use this knowledge to help us better coexist with them. She also participates in outreach, extension, and community service to help everyone learn about bees. Contact at mill3499@msu.edu or visit sharronzmiller.com
