Though not required by the FSMA Produce Safety Rule, the use of deterrents can be very effective in managing wildlife presence on your farm. 

Fencing & Netting

Fencing and netting can be expensive, but very beneficial in the long run.

Relocation

When using relocation, it's important to use extra caution and check state laws. 

Visual Deterrents 

Visual deterrents can include reflective tape or balloons.

Noise Deterrents

Noise deterrents can include air cannons for birds or ultrasonic devices for groundhogs or rodents. 

Decoys

Examples of decoys include plastic coyotes or swan decoys to scare off geese.
