An IPM Pocket Guide for Weed Identification in Field Crops
November 11, 2015 - Wesley Everman, Christy Sprague, Steven Gower and Robert Richardson
This IPM pocket guide can be used for identifying common weeds of field crops in Michigan. Descriptions and identification characteristics for 88 grass and broadleaf weeds are included. A detailed description of the life cycle, leaves, stems, flower and fruit, and method of reproduction is included for each for each weed species. Additionally, pictures of each weed at various life cycles are included to aid identification. The beginning of the guide has key identification characteristics for cotyledons, leaves, and ligules to help differentiate weed species.
