Prerequisites

To establish a common starting point in local planning and zoning knowledge, all registrants must successfully complete the MSU Extension Citizen Planner Program (either the classroom or online program), before beginning the Zoning Administrator Certificate Program.

The only exception to this prerequisite is for professional planners who have the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) credential.
