Biography: Jonathan Haufler has a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. all in wildlife ecology. He was assistant/associate/full professor at Michigan State from 1979-1993. Following that, he was Manager of Wildlife and Ecology Programs for Boise Cascade Corporation from 1993-2000, and then Executive Director of the Ecosystem Management Research Institute from 2000 to the present. He is a past-president of The Wildlife Society, and is currently President of the North American Grouse Partnership. He and his wife Carolyn Mehl live in Seeley Lake, Mt.
