Lisa Tams, LMSW, ACSW
Lisa Tams is a Master's level licensed and accredited clinical social worker with 27 years post-grad experience working in the areas of maternal and child health, human development, behavioral health and health research. She has worked on staff at Michigan State University Extension for 17 years. Her roles in Extension include educator, program supervisor, researcher and writer. She has worked on large National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded studies including the National Children's Study and has been published in the peer reviewed journals, and Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology. She is a trained, licensed and accredited clinician with the State of Michigan and certified in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She teaches Mindfulness as the first step toward well-being.
