Dr. Lenis Saweda Liverpool-Tasie is a globally recognized development economist and MSU Foundation Professor at Michigan State University. Her work is distinguished by its practical policy relevance, methodological rigor, and commitment to inclusive, evidence-based development across Africa. With over two decades of experience, she has led and co-led multimillion-dollar, multidisciplinary research initiatives addressing agricultural transformation, food systems resilience, and inclusive market development. Her leadership spans technical advising, academic mentoring, and policy engagement at the highest levels, including service on the Board for International Food and Agricultural Development (BIFAD) as a US presidential appointee.
