Patti received her Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Michigan- Flint in K-8 Education with majors in Social Science and Language Arts with a minor in Early Childhood Education. Patti has always worked with children and families, starting as a beloved babysitter and then working as an assistant teacher at daycare centers and home care programs, and was a nanny, all while in college- not to mention the numerous teaching experiences necessary for her degree, certificate, and endorsement. Once out of school she was hired as a Lead Kindergarten Teacher for a new full-day program. After five successful years, Patti chose to care for her newly forming family. Later she took the position of Director of After-School Care at the school her children attended.
Patti provides classes and information to support parents of families of young children. Offering materials and strategies on topics such as developmentally appropriate practices, language and literacy, Nurturing Parenting, parenting techniques, social/emotional development, and many other topics.
Patti enjoys working with families by sharing researched based lessons and parent- tested techniques. Helping parents and caregivers understand their importance in children’s healthy development. They are a child’s most important teacher.
