Tim Mrozowski, AIA., LEED® AP BDC, is a practicing architect, and professor - emeritus of Construction Management, in the School of Planning, Design and Construction at Michigan State University. He teaches construction management subjects, including Construction Contracts, Structural Design, Sustainable Design, and Construction Systems. Mrozowski conducts research on sustainability, application of LEED® to design and construction, energy codes, energy audits, energy modeling, energy assessment, and construction project management.

Since 2003, he has directed and conducted training for the Michigan Energy Code Training and Implementation Project, which has been funded by DTE Energy, Consumers Energy, the U.S. DOE, the Pacific North West National Laboratory, the Michigan Public Service Commission, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, the Michigan Bureau of Energy Systems, the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance. To date, MECTIP has developed 18 curricula and conducted more than 125 energy code and compliance training programs with more than 6,000 industry participants.

Mrozowski has traveled to Italy extensively over the last 15 years and provided LEED® AP services for the LEED® Platinum Plesso scolastico Loc. Romarzollo, Arco (TN), Italy, and provided educational consultancy to the Green Building Council Italia, as it was being formed.

Recent research and outreach projects include: The U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Targeted Training on Warehouse Worker Hazards in the Structural Steel Fabricating and Supply Companies, Energy Auditing of facilities at Belle Isle under funding from the MI DNR, Deep Energy Retrofit research sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, the Michigan Energy Code Training and Implementation Project, the Great Lakes High Performance Building Conference, application of LEED standards to Northern Climates, a study of a biomass fuel storage facility for the T.B. Simon Power Plant, energy assessments for the 15,000 student MSU Residence Hall System, adoption of LEED® construction standards at MSU, and construction project management research and outreach on change orders, construction project closeout, post occupancy evaluation and project management of steel construction. Mrozowksi also formerly co-directed the Construction Industry Research and Education Center at Michigan State University.
