Feed Additives

Segment: 5. Animal Health & Nutrition, Standard: Prescribe and administer animal feed additives and growth promotants in animal production. (Technical I.D.2)

Description

Any substance added to the feed to promote a characteristic that is beneficial to production (e.g., muscle development, wool production, egg quality, and coat quality) is considered a feed additive. Growth promotants are an example of a feed additive.
