Scholarships & Awards
Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Development program has developed various scholarship opportunities to help 4-H members and leaders fund continuing education beyond high school as well as in project areas. Funding to support is provided by the annual endowment gift provided by the Washtenaw Advisory Council, Washtenaw 4-H Service Club, Washtenaw 4-H Small Animal Committee and Washtenaw 4-H Horse Leaders Association. Each scholarship has its own eligibility requirements and application process. Please, make sure to read directions thoroughly when applying.

Special Horse Awards for Youth Show Descriptions:
4-H Outstanding Involvement in Agriculture Award - Due Aug 6
This Washtenaw County Farm Bureau Award recognizes 4-H members ages 15 to 19 for their involvement in agriculture, including 4-H related projects and activities, horticulture, farming, or employment. Award recipients will receive a free one-year regular membership with Washtenaw County Farm Bureau and a certificate or plaque along with recognition at the 2021 Washtenaw County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting. Applications are due Friday, August 6, 2021
Washtenaw County 4-H Youth Development Program offers various awards to recognize the achievements that members have accomplished through the 4-H program year. Awards are submitted either via nomination or application. Leaders are recognized for their years of service, Leader of the Year, Angel Award amongst others. Each fall members and leaders are invited to attend the Member and Leader Recognition banquet.
