Overview
Over the implementation period for this award from USAID/Kenya MSU/AFRE is subcontracted to Tegemeo Institute of Egerton University, who is the primary recipient of the award. As a leading center in agricultural policy research and analysis in Kenya, Tegemeo has won recognition for the quality of its research and outreach programs. Tegemeo has worked closely with MSU since 1997, under the TAMPA and TAPRA I projects that preceded TAPRA II.
Objectives
The activities for TAPRA II are organized around four broad objectives:
- Monitoring (tracking) trends and patterns in rural and urban livelihoods
- Research to inform key policy issues and initiatives
- Outreach and Advocacy
- Capacity Building
