On June 22, 2014, from 1-4 p.m., MSU will be hosting its third annual Bee Palooza at the MSU Horticulture Demonstration Gardens. Learn why bees are important, which bees are found in Michigan, how to make your own bee hotel, and what it takes to make your garden bee-friendly. View the inner workings of honey bee and bumble bee colonies, pet a bumble bee, and have a bee painted on your knee. This event is free and fun for all ages!

After cozying up to some bees, stop on by the MSU Bug House in rooms 146-147 of the Natural Science Building for a free open house. This is a great opportunity to tour the Bug House, interact with a whole room of insects, and check out the amazing pinned displays.
