FILE DOWNLOADThe Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project in collaboration with Researchers at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria announce the Call for Submission of Short Films on Mycotoxins and Best Practices in Nigeria’s Agriculture. The Feed the Future Nigeria Agricultural Policy Project is a USAID Nigeria Funded Project implemented by Michigan State University and the International Food Policy Research Institute. Researchers under the Project from Michigan State University and the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta recently concluded a study on Mycotoxins across the Maize Value Chain in Nigeria’s Agriculture. The films will be based on information from the research team's findings. Each of the 4 categories have 3 prize segments attached to them. The First Prize Segment comes with a Certificate of Recognition issued by the Project and a cash award of ₦85,000.00 The Second Prize Segment comes with a Certificate of Recognition issued by the Project and a cash award of ₦55,000.00. The Third Prize Segment comes with a Certificate of Recognition issued by the Project and a cash award of ₦35,000.00.
Submissions must include an explanation in the film of what aflatoxin is, the dangerous implications of consuming food with high levels of it for humans and animals and then some ways to minimize one's exposure to it based on the research documents below.
