College of Agriculture & Natural Resources Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) launched the You Belong Here Champion Award allowing students, faculty and staff to recognize DEI champions they regularly engage with in classes or in supporting staff roles.

You Belong Here Champions maintain an accessible, inclusive and supportive community for all who learn, work and teach in the CANR, MSU Extension and AgBioResearch. This award honors faculty and staff who live the CANR Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement in and through their work and space.

Faculty and staff nominees are for the 2020-2021 academic year. Nominations were due March 30, 20201. Nominees were announced in April 27, 2021. Winners were announced May 5, 2021.

2021 Awardees: Faculty

• Sinem Mollaoglu, Ph.D.; professor and program director of Construction Management within the School of Planning, Design and Construction.

• Linda Nubani, Ph.D.; assistant professor within the Department of Interior Design, School of Planning, Design and Construction, program coordinator of the Crime Prevention through Environmental Design Program.

2021 Awardees: Staff

• Ashleigh Booth, academic program coordinator for the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics.
• Anna EldenBrady, 4-H program coordinator for MSU Extension, Children and Youth Institute.
