Guido Sanchez.pngGuido Schmitz is a global leader in sustainable packaging with over 40 years of experience in consumer health, packaging design, and eco-manufacturing. As CTO at RENW and President of PAPACKS America, he advances industrial hemp–based molded-fiber technologies and drives circular economy growth with major brands. Formerly Head of Packaging & Technology Innovation at Bayer Consumer Health, he also founded InnCreReal LLC, teaches at Rutgers University, serves on the AIPIA board, and holds multiple global packaging patents.

Abstract: In this seminar, Guido Schmitz will explore the cutting edge of fiber molding technologies, explaining the differences among Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 processes while highlighting emerging trends in the field. He will discuss the key design parameters that drive high-performance, sustainable packaging, focusing on fiber composition, barrier coatings, and structural considerations, and how these elements adapt to the needs of diverse markets including cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, food, and transportation.
