The Research and STEM pathway in forestry is full of opportunities for those who love to protect and manage forests. Research in this area includes invasive species causing damage to trees, what kinds of diseases are impacting trees, and what can be done to protect them. 

A large part of tree research is analyzing and evaluating forest characteristics, which leads to better conservation, preservation and restoration efforts, in addition to providing new insights into scientific methods.
