Job Description:

We are searching for a responsible, self-starter to be our new Landscape Team Leader and manage a number of grounds keeping teams. The Team Leader’s responsibilities include: overseeing the construction of outdoor spaces and maintaining existing grounds, monitoring and training workers, supervising the use of equipment, ensuring staff observes safety guidelines and protocols, and complete various administrative duties. You should also have leadership skills and a sound knowledge of pesticides and chemicals.

Job Duties:

Coordinate the day’s work with supervisor.
Conduct daily truck inspections: check oils, fluids, tire pressure, trailer connections, and inspect all lights are in working order.
Overseeing maintenance of lawns and gardens, and ensuring proper use of pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals.
Delegating tasks and overseeing the use of tools and equipment.
Completing landscape design and construction.
Assessing progress and making recommendations.
Completing inventory checks and equipment inspections.
Recruiting and training new team members.
Ensure all crew members obey health and safety regulations at all times.

Job Requirements:

At least 2 years previous lawn and landscape maintenance experience leading a team.
Valid Chauffeur’s License and Medical Card along with a clean driving record.
Plant identification skills.
Ability to drive a truck and trailer
Knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and basic maintenance of tools.
Ability to lift 50 lbs throughout the day. Stoop, bend, and stand for up to 10 hours in various weather conditions.
Strong organization skills.
Ability to provide clear written and verbal instruction.
Communicate professionally with clients.
Demonstrate a professional appearance at all times.
Follow company policy and procedure.
