Job Description:

We are looking for farm crew members interested in organic vegetable production with a passion for growing food, strawberries, flowers, and pumpkins. This position is full-time, + hrs per week. Hours will vary through the season and there can be additional hours available in the busy season. The position is for a summer internship, with potential for a longer season.

Minimum qualifications include:

Ability to lift 50 lbs comfortably and consistently

Ability to work long hours on your feet—farming can be hard work.

Enjoying working outside---we expect work to be performed outside and sometimes the weather just doesn’t cooperate there can be mud, sleet, snow, rain, blistering heat!

Pride in work---we expect all work to be done to the highest quality for our customers

Enjoy working quickly---we have a lot to accomplish every day on the farm

Strong communication skills---there is a lot of teamwork, but also a lot of complex individual tasks

Willingness to learn---there are a lot of different, varied tasks and they all require a lot of attention to detail.

A passion for growing food and the local food system

Valid ID and drivers license

Preferred qualifications:

Experience working on a farm

Experience with power tools and tractors

Experience with basic plumbing and construction

Experience with farming or nursery work
