Position overview: responsible for the care and maintenance of garden, greenhouse, interiorscape and plant material. Garden responsibilities also include care and maintenance of pond and fish. Position is September through December and up to 19 hours/week.

Essential Job Functions

Daily irrigation of greenhouse plants as needed
Cleaning and maintenance of greenhouse including plants and structure
Monitoring crops for possible insects and pathogens
Blowing/raking leaves from lawn and path
Plant propagation
Weekly irrigation, pruning, trimming and rotation of interiorscape plants
Maintenance of garden including: watering, weeding, mowing, deadheading and planting
Daily monitoring of pond and its filtration system
Winter Snow Removal
Weekly pond cleaning

Requirements

Must be able to run power equipment such as: mower, weed whacker, hedgers, rototiller and gator.
Employee must be able to contribute up to 2 weekend days per month.
