The mini maps everyone drew yesterday in their groups got a whole lot bigger! They even added more than what they drew yesterday. It was fun to see the maps come to life.

Picture frames

At the beginning of the week, campers get their photo taken with either Sedona or Grizz. Today they were able to paint a picture frame they can take home with them on Friday.

The digestive system

Campers learned all about a horse’s digestive system and how complex it is. Miss. Diane showed them a huge replica of one made from cloth. Then they went up and drew the entire digestive system on the concrete.

Horse time

Everyday during camp, everyone gets to ride Sedona or Grizz! They learn how to lead them and turn, also stopping the horse.

First aid and leg wrapping

We must make sure our horses here at Tollgate are healthy! Campers learned how to properly wrap a horse’s leg if they get an injury. Then they were shown a med kit with all the first aid equipment you need to check vitals, temperature, and more on a horse.
