Entomology doctoral student awarded $12,000 NCR-SARE grant

Adam Ingrao received a North Central Region – Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education graduate student grant for his work on "Luring generalist predators from field borders to control crop pests." The roughly $12,000 award will fund research supplies and an undergraduate assistant to help Ingrao in his work on biological control in asparagus as part of Zsofia Szendrei’s vegetable entomology lab. Seventeen out of 44 proposals were funded this year for the student award.
