Nate Howder is a master’s student in Dr. Anthony Cognato’s lab studying the native cockroach genus Parcoblatta. They earned undergraduate degrees in entomology and zoology from Michigan State University in 2024 and they are continuing their education and research as a graduate student. Howder is interested in the intersection of outreach and arthropod research and aims to use their work to help educate the public on the importance of insects.
