When siting a new food hub, one must understand and work with zoning and other land use regulations in place.  Megan Masson-Minock, an urban planner with significant experience in food systems, is a consultant for the Michigan Food Hub Network, which CRFS co-coordinates.  She has compiled select zoning lessons from working with food hub sites near Ann Arbor and Battle Creek, which may help inform others in the process of starting food hubs in the state of Michigan.
