Internship Program 2024

 Milestones:

  • Business Development / Estimator / Designer (1 Week).
    • Completing takeoffs using Go iLawn
    • Create landscape designs using Pro Landscapes
    • Shadow BD, riding along, sales calls,
    • Spend time with Director of Business Development, Frank Corzine (1 hour presentation) on PLM sales &marketing strategy (Jerilee coordinate).
  • Attending Monthly Manager Meetings (Safety Committee, FM, AM).
  • Attend Branch
  • Lunch with Bob Grover,
  • Meet with the Branch Manager for culture, organizational structure, career path, and share their
  • Take pics of things you learn, have questions, and/or would be cool to share on social
  • Landscape Features to See:

  • Field Operations
    • Renovation Field Manager (1 day) including scheduling, ticket
    • Maintenance FM (1-2 days) including scheduling, ticket
    • Trainer (1-2days).
  • Water Management (4 – 5 days)

    • Water Conversation Plan (WCP)
    • Irrigation Technician (additional 2-3 days).
  • Account
    • Support Budget Letter
    • Attend client
    • Aspire (enhancement templates, opportunity management, ).

 Projects*:

  • Landscape Asset
    • Discuss site issues and opportunities with Account
    • Visti customers’
    • Gather site information such as square footage, pictures, and item
    • Work with Account Manager to initiate estimates in Aspire
    • Learn how proposal and annual budget letter
  • Water Conservation
  • Discuss site issues with Account Manager and Field
  • Deploy to
  • Activate all irrigation
  • Utilize an outline of potential recommendations to choose those that are

    • Contact water municipalities to obtain past, current, and future water costs to record in Excel

    • Assist in planning and installation of various lawn conversion processes:
      • Ecological
      • “Meadow”
      • Bark
      • Rock
      • Non-irrigated
      • Synthetic
    • Document costs for conversion
    • Create documentation of conversion projects with ‘before and after”
    • Monitor, document, and help develop maintenance and water savings
    • Assist in reviewing and updating bidding templates (costs) for each lawn conversion
    • Develop and document best practices for the design, installation, and maintenance of various lawn
  • Create Presentation & Share at a Monthly Meeting

 Additional Details

  • Personal transportation to be used to mobilize to job sites (mileage will be compensated).
  • Personal smartphone to be used for taking
  • Ability to work outside in wet, cold, hot, or dry
  • Ability to work with our Water Manager, Account Managers, and Field Managers to evaluate sites and prepare final
  • Full length blue jeans in in neat, clean condition (no holes, no stains), PLM branded shirts will be provided, only PLM baseball caps,
  • Personal Protective Equipment: orange rain gear, and weather-appropriate leather boots (no tennis shoes).
