Conservation hits the airwaves
Add Summary
Conservation, sustainability and the great outdoors were center stage as Bill Taylor and Jordan Pusateri Burroughs chatted with Kirk Henize and Russ White from Greening of the Great Lakes radio show.
They expand on how conservation and outdoor sports have a crucial role in sustainability -- what Taylor points out is the ultimate coupled human and natural system example. The talk came hours before Edmund Morris, the Pulitzer Prize winning biographer of Theodore Roosevelt, delivered a talk on campus (stay tuned for more). Taylor and Burroughs explain more about MSU's tight ties with the Boone and Crockett Club. Burroughs is the nation's first Boone and Crockett Wildlife Outreach Specialist, based in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. Also, Bill Demmer, executive vice president of the Boone and Crockett Club and an MSU alumni, will be interviewed about the MSU- B & C connection.
