Research Interests

Jiyong Shin focuses on the environmental physiology of leafy greens grown in controlled environments, especially indoor vertical farms. In particular, he is mainly investigating the effects of light, temperature, and interaction between environmental factors to improve productivity and/or optimize energy use.
