Walker Hill International Award
Application Deadline: March 1, 2019
The Walker Hill International Award is an award that can be used for pre-dissertation visits to a doctoral research site in a country outside the United States. International students who undertake research in the country of their origin are not eligible. The award amount varies every year, but will be at least $600.
The deadline for this year’s award is March 1, 2019.
To be eligible for the award, you must:
- Be an MSU doctoral student at the pre-dissertation stage who has completed adequate credits to have pre-dissertation research objectives.
- Submit a description, appropriateness and feasibility of pre-dissertation research objectives to be accomplished during the period spent abroad.
- Demonstrate scholarly excellence.
- Demonstrate character and personal attributes that contribute to a high probability of success in an international setting.
