Horticulture Undergraduate Student Named 2020 GPN/Nexus Intern of the Year

EmailGPN Magazine and Nexus Corp select Caleb Spall, a senior in Horticulture, for this national prestigious internship award.
A senior majoring in Horticulture with a minor in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems, Spall was selected as the Greenhouse Product News Magazine and Nexus Greenhouse Systems Corporation Intern of the Year. This award highlights the achievements of a college student who has participated in an exceptional greenhouse-related internship during 2019, which for Caleb was at Green Circle Growers (one of the largest greenhouses in North America) during the summer of 2019. Caleb says of his internship experience that he expected to just learn about growing plants during his time there, but instead was also mentored by upper management on how much more there is to running a greenhouse. This internship, combined with his experiences in MSU's B.S. Horticulture Program, have prompted him to attend graduate school in the Netherlands at Wageningen University and Research in the Fall of 2020.
