Kelly Waters
Bio
Kelly is broadly interested in decomposition ecology and insect-microbe interactions, with research focusing on identifying the internal microbiome of beetles and soil microbial communities and their changes throughout the decomposition process. She is also working to identify the internal microbiomes of aquatic invertebrates as part of a larger project investigating the persistence and spread of Mycobacterium ulcerans, the pathogen that causes the Buruli ulcer disease.
