Pow Wows are the Native American people’s way of meeting together, to join in dancing, singing, visiting, renewing old friendships, and making new ones. This is a time method to renew Native American culture and preserve the rich heritage of American Indians.

Join Jon Genereaux, HLG Plant Propagator, as he takes you for a two hour hike through the woods to experience nature's night life. Help the Friends of Hidden Lake Gardens keep our entryway clean of trash and debris. Michigan Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway program provides volunteer care for 6,400 miles of roadways, and has collected over one million bags of trash. Participants must be age 12 or older. Meet in the Visitors Center. 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

These native and exotic species provide us with food, lumber, and other valuable resources including beautiful fall colors. Come and learn about the science and folklore of our favorite trees. The 2017 Master Citizen Planner (MCP) Webinar Series is designed to offer participants the latest updates and information on current topics. Using Zoom Webinar, MSU Extension educators will provide an overview of topics of interest to planning and zoning officials. Webinars are the third Thursday of February, April, June, August, October and December from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Each session is available individually or participants can register for all six at once. MCPs will earn one hour of continuing education per webinar. The fifth session will be: Understanding and Planning for the Shared Economy.
