Employer Information: Careers & Hiring

The College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) offers numerous opportunities in helping students prepare for career opportunities and engaging with employers. We value the partnerships with industry and alumni and look forward in helping employers connect with our students.

Employers looking to recruit students for internships or jobs after graduation can also post their career opportunities on Handshake, MSU's online career management system.

Internships

Many employers that recruit CANR students chose to recruit at career fairs. See the full list of upcoming MSU career fairs.

Depending on the industry, employers will recruit freshman and sophomores for internships. After completing a summer internship, many students receive full-time job offers upon graduation.

Career fairs, on-campus interview rooms, and job postings as just a few ways employers can help recruit students for internships and full-time employment. Employers can also view student resumes through Handshake.

Employers use Handshake to post job openings, sign up for career fairs, and request information sessions. Employers can also view student resumes on this system.
