This past month, the Student Horticulture Association hosted its annual Networking Night at the University Club of MSU. This is a great opportunity for members and non-members to interact and seek out job opportunities within the horticulture industry. This year we had around 20 horticultural companies ranging from landscaping businesses to local farm operations attend this event. Mimicking a speed dating style, we allowed students to network at round tables for 10 minutes with 7-8 companies during the event. In the past many students have found internships and jobs through this experience. Overall, this event was a great success and we hope to continue making it better in the future.
