Christian Kelly Scott holds a Ph.D. in Rural Sociology and International Agriculture & Development from the Department of Agricultural Economics, Sociology, and Education at Pennsylvania State University. He is currently a Research Associate at Michigan State University in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. His research focuses on societal issues of hunger and food insecurity. His dissertation focused on the economic, environmental, and social determinants of household food security in the rural southern Kyrgyz highlands. He enjoys running, soccer, traveling, and spending time with family. His work is very interdisciplinary and he is always open for collaboration, do not hesitate to reach out to him if you have a research idea or question.
