Josh Snook
Bio
Josh Snook is a research assistant/technician for the Department of Entomology under Deborah G. McCullough. He conducts research that aims to improve the management of invasive forest insects in the state of Michigan. He is focusing on the efficacy and tree response to different stem injection, basal bark spray, and soil drench methods used to treat Hemlock Wooly Adelgid infestations. He is also managing a study to determine the life history of Balsam Wooly Adelgid in Michigan and develop some potential treatment methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid and Balsam Wooly Adelgid insecticide treatment projects
- Assist graduate students with their research on Spotted Lantern Fly, Oak wilt and invasive insect trapping/monitoring across the state
- Act as a teaching assistant for Ent 407 Lab "Diseases and Insects of Forest and Shade Trees"
