Background and Research Interests

Maria joined the department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in May 2021. She holds a BS in Animal Science and is also currently working towards her MS in Epidemiology at MSU. Maria is interested in studying how maternal obesity and endocrine disrupting chemicals separately and jointly impact newborn reproductive outcomes and maternal cardiometabolic health postpartum.
